Descrizione
The best stage acts usually consist of an orchestra, a lead vocalist and a number of background singers. While the orchestra and lead generally end up with most of the praise and attention, the background singers often remain somewhat underexposed, not in the last place because the crowd simply isn't focused on them. The same goes for DAW users. There are solo vocals to be found, but these are usually angelic voices that are better suited for soundtracks like the one from the Lord of the Rings. Until now, because Eastwest Hollywood present the virtual sample library, Backup Singers.
Eastwest Hollywood Backup Singers
The background choir includes three ladies: Durga McBroom, Lorelei McBroom and C.C. White. You may even know White from another Eastwest product called Voice of Soul, in which case you probably have a pretty good idea of what awaits. Included are instrument-like vocals and phrases but most importantly: a Wordbuilder with vowels and consonants. In other words, enter your lyrics and the ladies will sing it for you! This unique piece of software is a great investment if you're into in-the-box pop music or even bigband styles and allows you to get your sound right straight from your DAW.

Het is een goeie software, het neemt wel wat ruimte (7 GB) in beslag op je computer/laptop.
Ik heb het product gekocht en een paar minuten later kreeg ik de downloadcode in mijn mail dus dat ging ook goed.
Tijdens het ontwikkelen van woorden moet je de woorden in stukjes hakken, want anders gaan de stemmen haperen of vreemd doen.
Bijvoorbeeld:
Je typt een Engelse zin in het kolom "English" en dan ga je naar "Votox" en voeg je een spatie tussen het woord waar twee of drie woorden aan elkaar vast zitten bijvoorbeeld:
- An o ther
- Fi re
- Peo ple
- Hap py
- Le gen da ry
(Let op, bij Votox staan de woorden zo op de manier hoe men het uitspreek)
Het is een beetje zoeken hoe alles werkt maar je krijg het in een mum van tijd wel onder de knie.
Ook heb je kant-en-klare stemmen zoals Aa, Oo, Ooh, Eu waar je niet lang op hoeft te wachten zodat je kan beginnen wat wel zo is als je "Woordenbouwer" wil opstarten.
Voor de rest kan je ook de akoestiek/ruimte van deze koor veranderen alsof het in een kerk of op een plek bevindt.
